Gender-rific!

We found out the sex of our baby today ... nine whole days earlier than anticipated! (Unfortunately that's because I'm having severe abdominal pain and just generally feel like crap, so I had to waste a beautiful Saturday morning at the urgent care clinic and hospital - but at least we know that everything is okay with "the Fetal One.")

Whoever said "variety is the spice of life" obviously didn't tell that to my husband's sperm, because ...

It's a Boy It's a Girl I'm Expecting Friendster Comments

For those of you counting, that's boy number THREE. Penises galore! As much as I was hoping for a baby girl, though, I'm surprisingly excited. I love my boys, and hey - at least I'm familiar with raising kids of the male variety. (Plus there's nothing more fun than watching them wrestle and play and do mean things to eachother ... ahh, brotherly love!)

This was to be our last baby ... but now I'm not so sure. At the rate we're producing male offspring, I'm almost tempted to try to whip up an entire baseball team. ;)

  4. yeah!!!
i kinda had a feeling that this one would be a boy....i don't know yet but i am thinking with this one it will be a girl again (but good god i am not telling michael that) although this pregnancy has been totally different. anything that has been pretty consistent with the boy pregnancies? all i know is this baby has a heartbeat of 175 and noelle was only 153! yeah yeah! wait until they all pile out of that suv with different uniforms on!! at least you will ALWAYS have clothes!!

  5. Thanks guys! :) We're really excited.

And Beth C. - with all three of my boys (that's still so weird to say!) their heartbeats have been in the 140 - 150 range. Nothing else has really been consistent with the pregnancies - not even the symptoms. I had barely any with Colin, absolutely NONE with Cameron, and more with this one (which is why I thought it was a girl!).

  6. Congratulations!!! I can finally sleep soundly at night! :)

Guess you two will just have to keep producing hilarious, cute children until you have a girl! It has to happen one of the times, right?

  8. Glad everything's going okay with you & baby boy #3! Think of it this way.....you only have 3 penis' to worry about - if you had a girl you would have thousands! lol My cousin has 8 kiddo's - all boys but 1 girl - there's still hope for one! :-)

  10. Congrats! On another nephew, he will be spoiled just like the other two. Let me see I need to buy some "quiet" toys like I do for all my nieces and nephews.

So do you have a name picked out or are we going to have to wait on that.

  15. Yay! So glad you got to fine out early (minus the circumstances.) Although, my psychic abilities might be fading--I was so sure this one was going to be a girl. Still thrilled that you're having boy #3 though. Congrats to all of you!
