Turns out those funky marshmallows are not only ambiguously shaped, they've got magical properties as well. Usually, they're crunchy (see exhibit A below):
But I found one laying loose in the cabinet the other day and was amazed to discover ...they actually get SOFT, like a REAL marshmallow, when they get stale.
And the marshmallow mystery deepens ...
